| Do I need a website? |
Only you can answer this one. Some people want a website to sell online directly to clients, for others, having a web presence brings added value for clients (the ability to publish information or handbooks for instance) and raises the profile of their business. |

| Why are websites so expensive? |
For many website design companies, there are expensive overheads as in any other business. Premises, staff etc. Because I work alone, I don't have those overheads, plus, I believe in giving people a fair deal - if something takes 1/2 an hour to do, I don't charge for 1/2 a day. |

| What kind of things should I put on my website? |
Take a look at some similar sites. Do they give ideas for your own? Get down to "nitty gritty" of your business - who are your customers? What do they want? What can you give them in added value? And remember, sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words. |

| How good do the pictures have to be to go on my website? |
The better quality your original images are, the better they will look on your website. Particularly images such as logos should be sharp and as high resolution as possible. Equally, a photograph taken on a reasonable camera will almost certainly look better than one taken on your phone. Quality in = Quality out. |

| What is E-Commerce? |
Often referred to as an "Online Shop", an e-commerce system allows users to purchase and pay for your goods or services online. E-commerce systems usually have a very comprehensive administration "back-end" which is accessible using secure log in. Stock control, customer management, special offers etc. can all be catered for with most systems although the more features a system has, the complicated it will be. A training package would usually be required for all those intending to use the system. |
